Most month’s Castroville is packed with events that bring the community together and September is no different! Whether you're looking to support local schools, enjoy some friendly networking, or celebrate the town's rich history, there's something for everyone. Here's a roundup of what's happening:
September 6th: MVHS Volleyball vs. Churchill HS @ Medina Valley
We will have plenty of opportunites to support many extra-curricular teams at Medina Valley this school year. Kick off the month by cheering on the Medina Valley High School volleyball team as they take on Churchill High School. Come out and support and wear your black and orange to show your Panther pride!September 11th: Castroville Area Chamber of Commerce Member Luncheon at Discover Church
Join fellow chamber members for a luncheon at Discover Church to hear about what is happening in the community. It's a great opportunity to network, learn about upcoming projects, and enjoy some delicious food.September 12th: 5:05 Chamber Mixer at The Rusty Nail
Head over to The Rusty Nail for the 5:05 Chamber Mixer! … yes, it starts at 5:05pm! This casual event is perfect for connecting with other local businesses and community members while enjoying a laid-back evening out.September 13th: MVHS Volleyball vs. Eagle Pass HS @ Medina Valley
Come out and support the MVHS volleyball team as they face off against Eagle Pass. The match is sure to be exciting!September 13th: MVHS Football vs. Boerne High @ Panther Stadium
Don't miss the action as MVHS football takes on Boerne High School. It's also Band Parent Night, so expect some special performances during the game. Kickoff is at 7 PM.September 14th: 180th Founders Day Celebration at Regional Park
Celebrate Castroville's 180th Founders Day at Regional Park! The Founder’s Ceremony will begin at 4 PM, followed by the Celebration at Regional Park starting at 5 PM. There will be cultral reenactments, songs, dances, games, and more to celebrate the heritage of Castroville. This event is sure to have fun for all!September 18th-19th: St. Louis Catholic School "The Big Give" Fundraiser
Our local and beloved, St. Louis Catholic School will be doing their annual “The Big Give” fundraiser. Funds raised during this 24 hour time period go 100% to the school. Local businesses also have the opportunity to be a match sponsor for funds that come in with a great advertising opportunity out of it!September 20th: Start your morning with the Chamber Kaffee Klatsch at Bean & Boba. It’s a great way to connect and enjoy some coffee with friends and colleagues.
September 20th: MVHS Volleyball takes on Laredo Alexander HS @ Medina Valley. Let’s show our team some love and cheer them to victory!
September 27th: It’s a big day for Panther sports! MVHS Football faces off against Eagle Pass @ Panther Stadium at 7 pm, while MVHS Volleyball squares up against Laredo United South at Medina Valley. Make sure to show your Panther pride!
These events are no where near everything happening in our wonderful community, but all great opportunities to show support for local schools, businesses, and just have a great time! We hope to see you there.
